WWE would have canceled Day 1, the first event of 2023.
A few months ago, the celebration of Day 1 for the second consecutive year, on January 1, 2023, was made official by WWE. However, in recent weeks, some doubts began to arise about the date of the event since the company would be considering moving it during the day. Finally, it seems that WWE has opted for something that few expected.
As reported exclusively by Wrestlenomics, WWE has decided to cancel Day 1 2023 and, at this time, will not have a substitute event, so we would not have any Premium Live Event from Survivor Series WarGames (November 26) to Royal Rumble (January 28).
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were the main superstars scheduled to appear on Day 1, but finally, everything points to us not having an event on January 1 in Atlanta, Georgia. We will see if the company issues some kind of statement or if they directly remove Day 1 from the events calendar on their website.
