On December 8, WWE applied to register the trademark ‘ WWE King and Queen of the Ring’ to “cover the categories of entertainment services, specifically, a professional wrestling show,” among other uses.
The WWE KING AND QUEEN OF THE RING™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, specifically, a professional wrestling show; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events provided through broadcast media, including television, and distributed through various platforms through multiple forms of broadcast media; provision of news and information about wrestling through broadcast media, including television, and distributed through various platforms through multiple forms of broadcast media.
We’ll see if we know details about this in the coming weeks, but everything indicates that this exclusive show will finally take place with both tournaments. However, it is still being determined if it will be a PLE or a particular show broadcast on television.
