The Acclaimed defeated FTR to retain the titles.
After winning the ROH, AAA and IWGP World Tag Team Championships, the members of FTR tried to get a chance to win back the All Elite Wrestling tag team titles on different occasions. However, they only got the opportunity once The Acclaimed proposed to face each other in the last edition of AEW Rampage. The match between the two teams took place in the most recent edition of AEW Dynamite and had Anthony Bowens and Max Caster as winners, and therefore still champions.
The match featured both teams facing off with moves like a double Sharpshooter and a catapult from below the edge of the ring. Dax Harwood followed up with a Piledriver and then was intercepted by a combo move from The Acclaimed, but neither was enough to end the match. Then, the members of FTR applied a Big Rig on Anthony Bowens, but Max Caster managed to save him from the count of three. Finally, Cash Wheeler and Caster traded Roll-Ups, until the champions retained the titles via pinfall.
With this victory, the members of The Acclaimed earned their fourth successful title defence in 78 days with the All Elite Wrestling World Tag Team Championships. Remember that Anthony Bowens and Max Caster won the titles after defeating Swerve in our Glory in AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.
