It is proposed in WWE that several NXT superstars reach the main roster.
Throughout 2022, NXT and its Superstars have grown considerably, both in their popularity with fans and in their skills in the ring and when speaking to a camera on television. However, many talents are still very young and have yet to receive the call to reach RAW and SmackDown, a goal that all of them have. Still, some of them could be on the main roster in 2023.
As reported by Fightful Select, there have been several proposals in WWE for some NXT superstars to come to RAW or SmackDown. One of them is Cameron Grimes, one of the few veterans left in the brand with extensive television experience. In the company, they would think that he could fit in very well with the public of the main roster, and, in addition, he has an excellent relationship with one of the producers/trainers who work on RAW and SmackDown, Shane Helms. Another name proposed in the past is that of Von Wagner, but it is unknown if it will end up happening.
The report also clarifies that the company’s senior officials believe that the fights in shows such as Main Event or ‘dark matches’ before or after SmackDown and RAW serve them to find out if the fighter in question connects with the public. . Also, just because they are in these matches, it doesn’t necessarily mean that these people are going to be one of those chosen to make it to the main roster.
Von Wagner was one of the Superstars featured on WWE Main Event episodes and even appeared on SmackDown as Adam Pearce’s bodyguard, but we didn’t see him again. Other names have been proposed for the main roster arrival, but which ones have yet to be revealed?
