Rumours about Goldberg’s current situation with WWE are denied.
Goldberg is, without a doubt, one of the greatest legends in the history of the wrestling industry. His full-time run on him ended many years ago, and over the past decade, we’ve seen him making sporadic appearances in WWE to have one or two matches per year. His contract with the company ended this year, and he no longer has any fights. Recently, a rumour emerged that Goldberg had renewed with WWE for two more years, and this contract included five matches against opponents he had never faced. In addition, these fights would take place on prominent stages like WrestleMania or at shows in Saudi Arabia.
However, this is not accurate. Fightful Select has reported that those close to Goldberg have denied this, stating that “this would be something new for representatives who negotiate these types of deals for him.” This does not rule out that Goldberg will renew with WWE at some point, but it would not be a reality today.
Goldberg’s last match occurred in February of this year against Roman Reigns in Elimination Chamber, an event that occurred in Saudi Arabia. In just a few weeks, 2023 will begin, and we will see if Goldberg ends up agreeing to a new contract with WWE to continue fighting.
