Ric Flair is sure that now he would fight better than last time if he got back in the ring.
Ric Flair has threatened several times with his final retirement from wrestling, but for one reason or another, it has not just happened. This year, an event was organized around Flair’s permanent retirement. The 16-time World Champion teamed up with Andrade El Ídolo to face Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, with whom he had been training for the previous months. However, he once again hinted that he could fight once more.
During his podcast called To Be The Man, Ric Flair talked about the recent retirement of Ricky Steamboat and if he would be interested in wrestling one more time. Subsequently, Flair took the opportunity to say that he could fight again and he would do it better than last time.
When I talked to him (Steamboat), we were trying to get him to work with us. He told me then that he didn’t think, from a health standpoint, he was ready to do it. It’s what makes you feel good. Like I say about myself, I might as well fight again right now, and I’d be so much better than the last fight because when you’re gone for so long, you forget about the little things that make a difference, and you spend too much time getting in shape for it that you don’t. You think about little things like dehydration.
I was so into the training part that I forgot about the little things. I think he should do what he wants. It’s Ricky Steamboat; there’s only going to be one Ricky Steamboat, good or bad, and it’s not going to affect his legacy. He is the best babyface in the history of the business.
Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat are two of the greatest legends in wrestling history, and now, even though they are officially retired, it should never be ruled out that they will leave it to fight just one more time.
