WWE would have already defined Cody Rhodes’ opponent for his return to WWE.
One of the most notorious absences in WWE is that of Cody Rhodes since there are several months in which he does not appear on WWE programming due to surgery that had to be performed due to a tear in his pectoral. Everything seems to indicate that the return of “The American Nightmare” is getting closer since he has begun to train the way he did before his injury.
But what are the plans for Cody Rhodes when he returns to WWE? In recent days, more rumours have emerged about this, since according to Dave Meltzer reveals on Wrestling Observer Radio, the company’s plan is for Rhodes to face Seth “Freakin” Rollins again.
In recent weeks, it has been rumoured that Cody could be Roman Reigns’ opponent because he would be a serious candidate to win the Royal Rumble 2023. Still, everything will ultimately depend on whether The Rock makes an appearance. Therefore, until January 28, these plans needed to be clarified.
It should be remembered that “The American Nightmare” made his return to the company during WrestleMania 38 to be the surprise opponent of Seth Rollins. Since their fight in the grand event, both superstars began a rivalry which ended during the PLE Hell in a Cell with victory for the little brother of the Rhodes.
