John Cena will team up with Kevin Owens to take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on the SmackDown show on December 30.
Days ago, WWE confirmed that John Cena would return to SmackDown in the last program of the year. Also, the latest report from Fightful Select indicated that the company strongly wanted to promote The Champ’s presence. Finally, today, Cena made it official that he will fight alongside Kevin Owens against The Bloodline at the blue brand show.
During the main event of this week’s SmackDown show, The Bloodline was going to make Sami Zayn’s addition to the faction official. While Roman Reigns commented that the only solution to get rid of Kevin Owens was to face him alongside Zayn in a match, John Cena appeared on the main arena screen, confirming that he would be Owens’ partner in the tag team match.
SURPRISE! @FightOwensFight has found a tag team partner for his match against @WWERomanReigns and @SamiZayn for the DEC. 30th episode of #SmackDown….

In this way, John Cena will return to action in a WWE ring, something he had not done since SummerSlam 2021 when he faced Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. Likewise, the 16-time World Champion will keep his streak of having at least one fight a year.
