All IMPACT Wrestling results January 5, 2023.

Tonight, IMPACT Wrestling will broadcast a new edition of its weekly show. Matt Cardona will face Chris Sabin in an individual fight on this occasion. In addition, the road to IMPACT Hard To Kill 2023 continues when we are just eight days away from the first PPV of the year. Next, we leave you all the results of IMPACT Wrestling on January 5, 2023.

The show begins with the fight between Taylor Wilde and Masha Slamovich. Deonna Purrazzo is at ‘ringside.’

  • Taylor Wilde gets the win with a Roll-Up. After the match, Masha leaves the ring very angry and attacks a security member.

Sami Callihan gives a promo in which he insists on joining The Design. Callihan gives them until the show’s end to decide whether they want him.

Rich Swann challenges Steve Maclin to a ‘Falls Count Anywhere match’ at IMPACT Hard To Kill 2023.

Black Taurus faces Anthony Greene in the next match of the night.

  • Black Taurus defeats Greene by the count of three. After the match, Trey Miguel appears to attack Greene from behind.

Kenny King goes to Mike Bailey’s gym and finds several people working out, but Bailey isn’t there. These people demand that he leave, but he responds by attacking them all.

Mike Bailey is interviewed backstage and directly challenges Kenny King to a ‘Fight Pit match.’

Jonathan Gresham makes his way into the ring to face a local wrestler.

  • Gresham beats his rival without problems.

Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans talk backstage about their recent losses. Jai Vidal and Gisele Shaw interrupt, and they all agree to team up against the Death Dollz.

In a backstage promo, The Design plays a promo in which they respond to Callihan by saying that joining them takes time and effort and that the first step is shaving your head.

Moose goes to the ring to give a promo but is quickly interrupted by Joe Hendry, who dedicates a particular song to him mocking Moose and his failed stint in American football. Moose gets angry and says he will kill Hendry and make sure no one will believe him. Moose asks for his music to play, but the song Hendry has prepared for him plays instead.

Mickie James remembers all his time at ROH, WWE, IMPACT, his life with Nick Aldis, and his current time at IMPACT Wrestling. James cannot hold back his tears and affirms that if he could motivate someone for this last ‘run’ in the company, it would all have been worth it-

The stellar event of the night arrives. Matt Cardona will face Chris Sabin.

  • Chris Sabin wins Matt Cardona by the count of three after applying for a Driver.

Bully Ray shows up just before the show ends when he isn’t allowed inside the venue. He grabs a chair and threatens the commentators. Ray comes to the ring with a microphone and wants Josh Alexander but is interrupted by Scott D’Amore. He goes to the ring and is glad that at least one person obeyed him when he said they should stay home, referring to Josh Alexander. D’Amore mocks Ray and his attitude, even going so far as to imitate him. D’Amore thinks Bully Ray needs to change, and he thinks he can, but he knows there’s a good chance he’s still a piece of crap, but he wants to give it a chance.

Scott D’Amore tells how five years ago; he was able to come back to rewrite his story. It may be time for Bully Ray to do the same and change, or be the same as always, with Tommy Dreamer in the hospital because of him and his great friend D’Von Dudley needing a lot of money to consider fighting again. Scott says that when Josh Alexander leaves the Hard To Kill venue, he will have many people respecting him, millions of adoring fans, and a family to be with, but Bully Ray has no one, and he’s just a sad man who will stay with him. His thoughts were spinning in his head.

Bully Ray says that it is not like that, that D’Amore is not correct, and that on January 14, he will be able to say he is a three-time IMPACT World Champion. The two confront each other, and Ray challenges Scott to hit him, which he does. John Skyler and Jason Hotch go up to the ring and grab Scott for Bully Ray to apply a Piledriver followed by a Powerbomb on a table.
