ROH offers the 2022 edition of Final Battle on Saturday the 10th, where the main ROH medals will be at stake.

(The card will be updated when new fights are announced)

He returns to the Ring of Honor action and does so with the Final Battle event. Since it belongs to Tony Khan, the company continues to fight to have a space on television, and for the moment, it has to take advantage of the moments it has within the AEW programming. The event will have the main prizes of the company at stake.

ROH World Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Follow the rivalry between Jericho and Claudio Castagnoli. Jericho ended Claudio’s first reign as world champion, and the Swiss want revenge. The two had their rivalry as part of the Jericho Appreciation Society and Blackpool Combat Club storyline. The fight will have the incentive that if Claudio loses, he will have to join the stable led by Chris Jericho.

Pure Wrestling Rules for the ROH Pure Championship: Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Wheeler Yuta

The future of wrestling is faced again. Daniel García and Wheeler Yuta meet again for the ROH Pure Championship. The two fighters have already seen each other twice in heads-up matches for the pure ROH title.

ROH Women’s World Championship: Mercedes Martinez (c) vs. Athena

Mercedes Martínez took the ROH women’s title in May 2022; however, after a few weeks of defending the medal in secondary programs, she disappeared from the action. Mercedes has only participated in two matches in AEW since July 2022. For her part, Athena has not had the opportunities she wanted since she signed with AEW.

ROH World Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Juice Robinson

Juice Robinson arrives at ROH and AEW in style. The NJPW wrestler challenged Samoa Joe to a match for the ROH television title.

Swerve In Our Glory (Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee) vs. Shane Taylor and JD Griffey

Sweve Strikland and Keith Lee’s alliance is still alive, although tensions are increasing. In ROH Final Battle they will face Shane Taylor and JD Griffey.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship: Dalton Castle and The Boys (Brandon Tate and Brent Tate) (c) vs. The Embassy (Brian Cage and Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona))

The trios’ division titles are up for grabs in Final Battle. The alliance of Dalton Castle and The Boys faces The Embassy, a stable founded by Tony Khan after the purchase of ROH. The Embassy has already had the occasional appearance on television programs.

ROH World Tag Team Championship – Double Dog Collar: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (c) vs. The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe)

Two of the best teams of 2022 meet again. For the third time, the two teams will face each other in what is expected to be a great fight. This time the match has the Double Dog Collar stipulation, which is rarely seen on significant dates.

Six of the seven scheduled matches will have championship belts on the line. Chris Jericho and Castagnoli are announced as headliners, but the real draw will likely be FTR vs. The Briscoes in a double dog collar match. That match wasn’t revealed until the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, but the reaction was immediately positive. The two teams have battled twice in 2022, and both matches will be in the conversation for the Match Of The Year awards over the internet.

Khan also teased that more information regarding the future of ROH streaming and streaming will be announced on December 10. If you want to watch Final Battle live, remember that the show will start at 4 pm ET. This start time was strategic, as Khan typically tries to avoid going head-to-head with the UFC pay-per-view shows with the AEW and ROH shows. He also said it’s an experiment to see if an earlier start time positively impacts purchase rates.
