Chris Jericho talked about a possible team with Kenny Omega.
It was recently announced that All Elite Wrestling will host their first television show from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, this coming Wednesday, March 14, 2023, when they broadcast live Dynamite and tape a new edition of Rampage. The city where the event will be recorded is the hometown of Kenny Omega in real life. Within Chris Jericho’s ‘kayfabe’, various fans have raised the possibility that both fighters may have joint participation in this program. ‘The Eight’ recently spoke about this.
In a conversation with Winnipeg Sports Talk, Chris Jericho hinted that he could team up with Kenny Omega on the March 14 edition of AEW Dynamite. However, he made it clear that it all depends on the stories unfolding at the time.
We have just finished the rivalry with the Blackpool Combat Club. We are looking to get involved with Ricky Starks. The Jericho Appreciation Society is always open to working with new people. By mid-March (when AEW Dynamite will take place from Winnipeg), we’ll probably have a lot of great stuff. We’ve already discussed some ideas of what we could do that night. Maybe something with me and Kenny [Omega] teaming up, but it all depends on the stories. What I am sure of is that it will be a good show.
Even though they are the fighters who have been in All Elite Wrestling for the longest time, Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega have met only five times inside a company ring. It should be noted that on all these occasions, both fighters have been rivals and never teammates.
