Cathy Kelley comments that Stephanie McMahon offered her different positions within the company but that she opted for her current role because this is her dream.
The current RAW interviewer, Cathy Kelley, left the company in 2020 and has been away from it. Now, with the arrival of the new WWE board of directors, from her high command, they sought to contact her because, according to Kelley herself, they were very interested in her return.
After negotiating the terms for her return, it happened last fall, and, as she mentioned on ‘The Big Thing Podcast,’ it could have happened in several ways as Stephanie McMahon offered her various positions to take on her return.
“When I talked to Stephanie, she knew some of the other creative stuff I was working on at other companies, so she said, ‘Do you want to come back as a writer? Do you want to go back as a liaison to the ‘WWE Universe’ and do many of the events, like going to different diners or going to Boys and Girls Clubs? And then she also offered me feedback training, which I’m excited about because it shows how much she believes in me,” Kelley said.
“But, you know, one of my goals was always to be on ‘RAW’ or ‘SmackDown’ as a backstage interviewer, so when that offer came along, I was excited about and inclined to take it.”
Cathy Kelley has shown in her last appearances a unique chemistry with a large number of fighters, as well as passion and liking for the work she is doing, so we will only have to wait and see if Kelley continues in her same role or advances to the creative section or WWE community.
