Bron Breakker leaves Deadline as NXT Champion.
Bron Breakker arrived at NXT Deadline, the last Premium Live Event of the year, with a single goal: to end the year with the NXT Championship on his shoulder. However, his opponent tonight was one of the toughest to date, Apollo Crews. Both have shown great respect since Crews returned to the brand a few months ago, but they were going to give it their all in combat to come out as champions.
The combat was very intense from start to finish. Apollo Crews looked like he was going to be one of the most formidable contenders during Breakker’s reign, and he was. However, despite this, the champion retained his title after applying his shot. After the fight, his next challenger, Grayson Waller, came out to attack him and celebrate with the NXT Championship.
In this way, Bron Breakker will make sure to reach 2023 as NXT Champion, and if he continues to dominate in this way, he could get the year as champion in his second reign. He captured the title in April during the post-WrestleMania 38 episode of Monday Night RAW.
